2016
"The 2016 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru was 70% affected by frost and had 50% whole bunch and 70% new oak. The vines are located on terres blanches. It has a fragrant, quite mineral-driven bouquet, perhaps more precise than others that I encountered in barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with a candied quality on the entry, blue fruit mixed with licorice and mint, leading to a very poised and focused finish that remains for eternity in the mouth, like the trace of a firework that remains fixed in the night sky." - 95-97pts WA----"Reduction dominates today though it does not continue onto the polished and beautifully textured imposingly-scaled flavors that, like the Charmes, are serious yet seductive thanks to the abundance of sappy dry extract that buffers the notably firm but naturally sweet finish." 92-94pts Burghound

2017
"There are three new barrels of the 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru, an integrated but reserved wine that offers up notes of dried rose petals, grilled meats, espresso roast and sweet berries. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ample and satiny, with excellent depth and a tight-knit core that's framed by a fine but firm chassis of structuring tannins. Less forthcoming than the Mazis-Chambertin and Bonnes-Mares, it likely also has a longer future." - 93-95+pts WA -- "Once again there is an admirably discreet application of wood lurking in the background of the markedly cool, airy and restrained nose that offers up notes of red currant, game, leather, violet and lavender. The broad-shouldered flavors are borderline painfully intense while exuding almost palpable amounts of minerality on the driving, linear and exceptionally firm yet beautifully well-balanced finale. This is clearly built for the very long haul and is a wine that will need it." - 93-95pts/Don't Miss BH
2018
"The 2018 Chambertin Grand Cru is matured entirely in new oak with 40-50% whole-bunch fruit. It displays sublime purity on the nose, which offers layers of brambly red fruit mixed with crushed stone, pressed rose petals and freshly tilled soil. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins and a perfect line of acidity. Tighter than the Mazis-Chambertin, with a precise and quite conservative finish. This is another profound Chambertin from Arnaud Mortet." - 95-97pts Vinous ---- "The 2018 Chambertin Grand Cru really merits its place in the hierarchy this year, unfurling in the glass with a complex bouquet of wild berries, plums and peonies complemented by nuances of blood orange, potpourri, cinnamon and smoked meats. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supple and beautifully complete, with a layered and concentrated core, ripe acids and powdery tannins, concluding with a long and perfumed finish. In textural finesse and incipient complexity as well as in depth and dimension, the Chambertin possesses an extra dimension." - 95-97 WA

2018 Grand Cru
"The 2018 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, which includes 30% whole bunch, has a well-defined, sous-bois and pressed iris bouquet that blossoms with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, a seamless texture and an elegant, wonderfully poised finish. Stunning." - 94-96pts Vinous

"The 2018 Fixin Vieilles Vignes displays aromas of plums, berries and dried flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and mineral palate that's precise and elegant. This old-vine cuvée, derived from two complementary parcels, is quintessential Fixin." - 89-91 WA

2018 Lavaux St. Jacques
Lavaux St. Jacques ---- "The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru is completely de-stemmed and raised in 70% new oak. It has a very well-defined bouquet of raspberry and wild strawberry scents, plus pressed rose petal and a touch of orange pith. The palate is very well defined with supple tannins, a perfect line of acidity and a slight confit-like finish. Understated and refined, this will give two decades of drinking pleasure." - 93-95pts Vinous

2017 1er Les Champeaux
1er Cru Les Champeaux -- "Typically one of the broadest-shouldered wines in the cellar, the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Champeaux was lightly reduced on the day that I tasted it, unwinding in the glass to reveal plenty of red-black fruit and savory nuance. On the palate, the wine was easier to read, displaying a medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated profile, with excellent amplitude, juicy acids and a long, delineated finish. It's a definite success." - 91-93+pts WA -- "This too is strongly reduced. The medium weight and lively flavors possess a comparatively refined mouthfeel and plenty of minerality on the firmer if less muscular finish where a touch of wood toast can be found. This too will require at least some patience and reward up to 15 years of it." - 90-93pts/Outstanding BH

2017 Les Longeroies
Les Longeroies -- "This is attractively fresh and bright with its broader range of aromatic components that include red currant, cherry, spice and soft floral wisps. There is notably better volume and density to the equally delicious medium weight flavors that conclude in a refreshing and naturally sweet finish. This is almost gulpable today yet it has the underlying material and structure to reward 4 to 6 years of cellaring." - 89-91pts BH

"The 2018 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru comprises four barrels this year, from 60- to 80-year-old vines in the middle of the vineyard. It includes up to 40% whole bunch. It has a wonderful bouquet of mineral-rich black fruit that turns toward more red fruit with aeration, also developing a light floral note of rose petals with time. The palate is underpinned by fabulous mineralité, as if Arnaud Mortet had just ground some stone in his hand and plopped it into my glass. Quite profound." - 96-98pts Vinous
