2014 Le Grand Fricambault
2011 Clos Guillot
2013 Cuvee de Fondraux
Chenin Blanc from vines averaging 45 years of age. Harvest happens early in the morning for the Fondraux and the grapes are immediately pressed. The juice in then transferred into 500 L wooden barrels for a slow fermentation. The wine is aged in the same vessel on its lees for eleven months before bottling.
2014 Touraine Rouge
"La Guerrerie, a blend of 70% Cot (Malbec) and 30% Gamay, is presumably so called because of the war (guerre) that the Puzelat brothers feel they are waging on the authorities. It’s certainly by far the most exciting Malbec-dominated wine I have tasted from the Loire, benefiting from the lush, ripe, slightly rustic fruit that variety can provide, but also from the freshness of Gamay. It’s only 12.5% alcohol and has no obvious oak influence at all - just pure, unadulterated fruit fermented to dryness. I enjoyed it both with and without food for it is relatively soft. It’s not cheap but it does provide a counterpoint to the great mass of wine made today that can taste like a cocktail of oak and sugar."

2007 Clos Papillon
100% Chenin Blanc. Closel has been certified in organic viticulture by Ecocert since 2006. Everything about this wine suggests "golden." Pale gold in color, a very waxy, honeyed nose dripping with ripe pear & golden apple. Dry, medium bodied, rich round flavors offset by nervy acidity. This a legendary wine, from one of the top sites in Savennières, so named because the plot’s shape resembles a butterfly. Amazing aging potential.
A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, the Cazin Cheverny features bright citrus aromas and complex mineral notes. The palate is deep, surprisingly full-bodied, with great acid and remarkable length. The Sauvignon Blanc stays on the lees until the end of November.
100% Chenin Blanc. 112 cases produced. Medium pale gold. Fresh cantaloupe nose that gradulally evolves to a greener honeydew. Rich, warm, full & concnetrated.subtly tropical.
2002 Demi-sec, 1er Trie
1,000-1,500 cases produced annually. 100% Chenin Blanc, certified biodynamic. "Bright gold. Talc, orange zest, pear and white flowers on the nose, along with a touch of pungent herbs. Tangy, finely wrought citrus flavors are given depth and texture by notes of floral honey and bitter pear skin, with a hint of tarragon emerging on the back of the palate. Slow to unfold, but finishes with excellent clarity, lift and persistence. Like 2009 and 2005, 2002 is one of the great vintages here - a year when it was possible to produce all styles at a high level of quality." - 92pts Vinous
100% Chenin Blanc. Chenin is among the most versatile of grapes, making everything from zesty sparklers to the driest of dry table wines to the most unctuously sweet dessert wines. Jasnières is a rich, aromatic white made in tiny quantities in France's Loire Valley. Pascal Janvier never planned on becoming a vigneron. Though his parents had vineyard land of their own, they did not make their own wine. Instead, he went to school to learn butchery. However, Pascal made a sudden about-face at the age of thirty and decided to study winegrowing. The Coteaux du Loir appellation includes 16 communes in Sarthe and six in Indre-e-Loire. The Jasnières appellation is included within this area, but exclusively in the communes Lhomme and Ruillé-sur-Loir. Wines from Jasnières are lauded for their steeliness in youth and ability to improve and transform with age. Pascal Janvier's version has intense aromas of white flowers, mineral and stone fruit. On the palate it is dry and medium-bodied, notes of honey, dried fruits and minerality. "Silex" refers to the flinty soils of the region.
