2010 Tenuta Montebello IGT
"A compelling blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the 2010 Picconero Tenuta Montebello packs a powerful punch in terms of density and concentration. This expression is rich and chewy with dark cherry and blackberry as protagonist. Solid supporting roles are played by tobacco, spice and bitter dark chocolate. The 2010 vintage shows a superior sense of finesse and silkiness in the mouth. Picconero can be put aside for long cellar aging." - 94pts WA

2014
"The 2014 Barolo Cannubi Boschis is a wine of depth and substance. This Barolo achieves a very pretty level of density and power for what is a cooler vintage. Red rose aromas rise to the top but are quickly followed by more substantial tones of blackberry and ripe cherry. This is a mid-weight effort that is enhanced by finely tuned layers of spice and crushed stone. The wine needs a bit of time to open and put on volume, but once it does it sails forth with pride and purpose." - 93pts WA

2006
The wine is created from two vineyards: the Preda vineyard, planted in 1965, which is predominately clay marl and produces rich perfume and elegance, and the Sarmassa vineyard, planted in 1973, rich in sand and clay, yielding strong character, full body and structure. Intense ruby red in color, the wine is all kinds of red fruits enveloped in vanilla on the nose. Dry, full, and rich in body and structure, this wine is interesting young, with a great potential for aging.
