This is a wine of textural contrasts as the finish is firm yet almost delicate and overall, this is a fine Nuits villages that has an established track record of aging well. Much more interesting are the impressively dense and sappy larger-bodied flavors that possess both excellent power and volume, all wrapped in a beautifully long and balanced finale. Like several wines in the range, this is on the oaky side but the mid-palate density appears to be present for it to be successfully integrated with time in bottle. Bourgogne Blanc La Plante des Champs - "Pale primrose with a pretty floral nose with a little bit of barrel toast. The oak is fine rather than heavy and makes for a delicious Bourgogne, which fills the mouth very nicely. Drink from 2024-2026. Tasted: October 2022." - 4/5 stars Jasper Morris

There is a wonderfully succulent mouthfeel to the beautifully textured medium weight flavors that exhibit a fine bead of minerality on the balanced, chiseled, nicely dry and lingering finale that is ever-so-mildly austere at present. "Discreet wood sets off a wonderfully elegant, airy and ultra-pure though quite ripe red pinot fruit nose that displays plenty of wet stone, floral and earth influences. The silky but firm large-scaled flavors are blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the firm and ripe supporting tannins on the moderately austere, persistent and palate coating finish. Like all of the 2010s in the Trapet range, this is quite understated and beautifully balanced though note again that plenty of patience will be required." - 94pts Burghound
