2019 Chambolle-Musigny
"Almost invariably the finest wine in the range, Sigaut's 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers Vieilles Vignes doesn't disappoint, unwinding in the glass with notes of black cherry, wild berries, Indian spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's layered and velvety, with excellent concentrated, lively acids and the most integrated profile of all these 2019s." - 93+pts WA

2020 Chambolle-Musigny
"The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru, courtesy of 70-year-old vines, is much more backward on the nose compared to the Noirots, but no less complex with lovely forest floor and wild mushroom scents interpolated amongst the dark fruit. There is something almost autumnal here. The palate is fresh and lightly spiced with a dash of white pepper, cohesive and structured with a very persistent finish. Excellent." - 94pts Vinous

2021 Chambolle-Musigny 1er
"A discreet application of wood sets off attractively layered aromas of plum, earth, floral nuances and subtle spice hints. There is lovely richness and punch to the well-detailed mineral-inflected flavors that possess a mouth coating and mildly austere finish that delivers excellent persistence. This is more powerful if less refined than the Fuées that also offers fine development potential." - Outstanding, Burghound

"The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussières Vieilles Vignes is Sigaut's finest communal-level bottling this year, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums and raspberries mingled with hints of cinnamon and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with an ample core of succulent fruit and powdery structuring tannins, it's seamless and complete." - 91pts WA

2021 Chambolle-Musigny
"Firm reduction pushes the fruit to the background at present. Otherwise, there is slightly better mid-palate volume to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that are less refined though noticeably more powerful and more complex on the balanced, firm and solidly persistent finale. This is half Chambolle and half Morey in character and is worth considering." - Outstanding, Burghound

2015 Romanee Saint-Vivant Grand Cru
Romanee Saint-Vivant Grand Cru -- "An overtly floral, elegant and airy nose displays a huge array of spice elements on the red currant, cherry, tea, hoisin and lavender scents. The super-refined middle weight flavors possess a gorgeously sophisticated mouth feel that is at once silky yet packing plenty of punch that continues onto the harmonious finish where the persistence lasts for several minutes. I was knocked out by the palate impression because when RSV is "on", the finesse is unmatched by any of the other grands crus in Burgundy. This is quite simply a 'wow' wine." - 94-97pts/Don't Miss! from the Burghound

2019 Hautes-Cotes de Nuits
Hautes-Cotes de Nuits ---- "An attractively fresh nose speaks mostly of various ripe dark berries and spice with a subtle hint of earth. There is fine verve to the overtly mineral-infused flavors that terminate in a lingering finish." - BH

2020 Hautes-Cotes de Nuits
Hautes-Cotes de Nuits ---- "A very fresh and bright nose offers up notes of both red and dark berries, earth and a whisper of anise. The racy, intense and crunchy middle weight flavors while displaying solid length on the clean and refreshing finish. This pretty effort should drink well young." - Outstanding, Burghound

2019
"The 2019 Fixin La Place has a ripe blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with still a bit of oak to be subsumed. The palate is rounded on the entry, ripe and rounded with fine acidity, fleshy with a nicely poised, dark cherry and blueberry finish. Lovely." - VM

2020
"Ripe yet cooler aromas include those of black cherry, violet, lilac and a hint of sauvage character. The racy, intense and well-delineated flavors exude evident minerality on the firm, compact and slightly rustic finish that displays sneaky good length. Note that this powerful and muscular effort will require extended patience." - Outstanding, Burghound
$145.00 Stock28
"Notes of anise and humus add interest to the slightly riper yet still fresh aromas of poached plum, raspberry and pungent earth. There is once again very good volume to the solidly concentrated and tautly muscular flavors that possess a relatively seductive texture that contrasts with firm, serious and youthfully austere finale that is noticeably more structured. This is a wine of textural contrasts as the finish is firm yet almost delicate and overall, this is a fine Nuits villages that has an established track record of aging well. Recommended." - Outstanding, BH
