2020 Chinon Blanc
100% Chenin Blanc. Raffault planted Chenin under ten years ago on the special clay-limestone terroir of the Les Picasses hills and bottled it as "Chenin de Picasses" for this first time in the 2020 vintage (note: in France the wine bears a different label and name, "L'Or d'Olga"). The farming is organic and the harvest is manual. The whole clusters are gently pressed and the must settled overnight. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in 500-liter, second-and-third-use demi-muids and finishes dry; the wine does not go through malolactic fermentation and is aged on its fine lees for a year in the same barrels. It clarifies naturally during aging and is bottled without filtration.

2019
"Drinking Window: 2028 - 2040 Le Château is a small plot of land enclosed in the Chêne Marchand terroir, and is situated on the top of the hill, planted on Kimmeridgian limestone. The first vintage of this wine was 2014. The bouquet on this 2019 vintage is tightly introverted, but its incredible tension and depth point to a magnificent wine. Mineral-driven aromas with spices, both white and spring flowers, orange blossom and lemon oil aromas. Long and penetrating, this wine has a deep and concentrated core, striking levels of chalky dry extract and a long, penetrating finish. Still an infant, it will be one of my favourites after 10-20 years in the cellar." - 97pts Decanter

2018 Chardonnay/Folle Blanche
Extremely Limited Production. Certified Organic & Biodynamic. "Expressive nose with frank notes of iodine, fresh seaweed and lemon notes. Lively attack, wine in tension which develops in the middle of the mouth to become more polished and charming. Invigorating marine freshness counterbalanced by a beautiful volume on the palate, an explosion of yellow fruits and a basket of citron... A pure, delicate and crystalline wine. A double vinification by maceration on the skins to enhance the aging in amphorae ... A vinification by Claire Niger. A good hour in a carafe will please him in the first years of his life. Great predictable guard."

Extremely Limited Production. Certified Organic & Biodynamic, single parcel of Chardonnay planted on Orthogneiss soils. 8 months of skin maceration in amphora. Continuing his exploration of the energy exchange between wine and vessel, this amphora aged Chardonnay is a lively and textured orange wine with apricot aromas and driving acidity. Just stunning and a truly exciting addition to Fred's Vin de France lineup. ---- "Flattering and expressive nose on notes of fig, quince, apricot, dried fig, currant grapes and bitter orange peel. Clean, frank, direct attack; very dry and tight wine that develops in the middle of the mouth to become more charming and playful, smooth tannins with good volume. A deep, pure and delicate wine with chiseled fruit, notes of sweet spices, saffron. Long persistence. Leave this bottle in your cellar at least 1 or 2 years before opening... A wine vinified in maceration to enhance aging in amphorae; great predictable aging potential, long decanting recommended in the early years."

2016 Moulin-a-Vent Styx
Styx ---- "A cuvée that incorporates all of the Moulin-à-Vent lieux-dits that Duperray bottles separately in more plentiful years, the 2016 Moulin-à-Vent was sorted berry by berry to remove all hail-impacted fruit, a labor of love that resulted in derisory yields but remarkable quality. Unfurling in the glass with scents of dried rose petals, plums, raspberries, peonies and dark chocolate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with immense concentration, rich but powdery tannins and lively acids, displaying a strikingly complete, seamless profile and concluding with a long, expressive floral and exotic spices. Pungently floral finish. This is one of the few contemporary Beaujolais to evoke the region’s great wines from the inter- and post-War era." - 96+pts, William Kelley

2016 Fleurie Sacre Graal
Sacre Graal ---- "Like its Moulin-à-Vent counterpart, Duperray’s 2016 Fleurie Sacré Graal was sorted berry by berry to remove any fruit impacted by the hail to which its name punningly adverts, resulting in similarly derisory yields and equally thrilling quality. The bouquet is less complex than his Moulin-à-Vent’s but more direct, bursting with scents of Griotte cherries, rose petals and raspberries. But on the palate, the wine is if anything more reserved, revealing an immensely concentrated and seemingly infinitely layered core of lively fruit, velvety tannins and lively structuring acids, concluding with a sapid and thrillingly floral finish. Simultaneously enveloping and penetrating, this is a remarkable Fleurie and one that rivals its 2016 counterpart as among the very greatest young Beaujolais that I’ve tasted." - 97+pts, William Kelley

2021 Chavignol
"From the steep slopes of the Cul de Beaujeu, this is a very fine and rather delicate expression. While initially succulent, it remains light in body and has a sense of quietness while maintaining line and structure. You can expect wild flowers, red apples, nettles and elderflower. Hell, there's even an apricotty character before the salty finish kicks in and a lightly chalky texture resides on the palate." - 94pts Vinous
