2020 Nero d'Avola Sicilia IGT
Nero d'Avola Sicilia IGT ---- "The 2020 Nero d'Avola Siccagno captivates with an earth-inspired bouquet that blends crushed ashen stones with sage and smoke before giving way to crushed wild blueberries. It’s silky and refined, with a sleek wave of ripe red and blue fruits carried across a core of zesty acidity. A saline tinge adds a savory edge toward the close. The 2020 finishes lightly structured, long and with immaculate balance, leaving a coating of primary concentration, hints of citrus and inner florals. While already a total pleasure aromatically and on the palate, I expect the 2020 Siccagno will blossom beautifully over the next five to ten years in a cold cellar. This is stunning." - 94+pts Vinous

2018
"The 2018 Schioppettino di Cialla is impossible to ignore. It's profoundly floral and herbal with rose petals, wilted violets, wet stone and ginger-tinged blackberry aromas. It opens with a pleasant inner sweetness and richer than expected, yet perfectly balanced, with depths of ripe wild berry fruits contrasted by spiced blood orange. For all of its depth and concentration, fresh acidity lifts the experience through the finish, leaving a candied citrus and white pepper tinge while tapering off classically dry. What a beauty. The 2018 is the child of a cool vintage, yet there's so much power and density here. Bury your bottles deep." - 95pts Vinous

85% Nebbiolo, 15% Neretto and Ner d'Ala Red wine obtained from the best exposed vineyards with pergola and espalier raised on terraces. The first vintage was 2016. It is made up of 90% Nebbiolo “Picotendro” and the remainder of the more mature clusters of Ner d'Ala and Neretti. The grapes are heated under the sun to ensure a quick start of fermentation which takes place in steel and wood. Each vineyard is vinified separately. Maceration lasts an average of 90 days. The refinement, always separated by vineyard, is carried out in used wood (500 and 225 liters). Not filtered.

2019
"The Michele Chiarlo 2019 Barbaresco Asili has a fragrant bouquet with bright and punchy aromas of wild cherry, raspberry, blue flower and crushed stone. This vintage shows a level of energy and vitality that helps it stand out in a crowd, and the wine is elegant and silky in texture. This is an especially attractive expression from the celebrated Asili vineyard of Barbaresco." - 94+pts Wine Advocate

"This special steak wine bears the signature of company founder Giovanni Folonari on the front label. The Folonari family is a historic presence in modern Tuscan wine. Their 2016 Tenuta di Nozzole Chianti Classico Gran Selezione comes from a classic vintage that is known for the balance and power displayed in its elegant wines. This bottle opens to dark cherry and blackberry with rich nuances of spice and dried flowers at the back. This is a terrific effort from a winery with a big presence across the region." - 94pts WA

"The 2019 Barbaresco Faset is all grace. Sweet dark cherry, spice, leather, tobacco, mocha, dried herbs and licorice all meld together. This soft, open-knit Barbaresco offers tons of immediacy. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years. Sweet floral and spice notes linger on the inviting finish." - 93pts Vinous
