"Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Sisters has a delicate perfume of raspberries, rhubarb, tar, orange peel and tea leaves with touches of flint. The light-bodied palate is powdery and fresh with fragrant floral character and a long finish." - 96pts WA ---- Note on Production: Eyrie didn’t bottle any 2020’s other than Trifolium and we likely won’t see the 2021’s until Spring 2025.

Note on Production: Eyrie didn’t bottle any 2020’s other than Trifolium ---- "The 2021 Pinot Noir Sisters blossoms in the glass with woodland berries and herbs complicated by allspice and clove. The palate is round and supple with cooling acidity and ripe wild berries cascading throughout, leaving a sweet spice tinge toward the close. This finishes with remarkable freshness, a gentle sour citrus twang, and slowly fading hints of red plum. The 2021 is already showing beautifully, but there’s the balance to excel over the next five to seven years of cellaring." - 94pts Vinous

"You can't help but taste the harvest heat in this wine, which brims with blackberry and cherry flavors that verge, not on raisins, but what happens when pie filling spills over into the pan and bakes. The wine is very high in alcohol and thus it's soft as chocolate pudding." - Wine Enthusiast

"The 2006 Futo (75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot) exhibits a deep ruby/blue/purple color, a flawless integration of tannin, acidity, wood, and alcohol, and gorgeous opulence. While Futo is situated on western hillsides overlooking Oakville, it displays a style that has more in common with the purity and elegance found in Screaming Eagle, which is a few miles to the east, on the valley floor. This beautiful 2006 is a resounding success for this vintage, which had some issues with rustic tannins. It should drink well for 15+ years." - 95pts WA

2019 by Thomas Rivers Brown
Made by Thomas Rivers Brown from a vineyard situated directly next to Dunn on Howell Mountain, this vibrant wine shows the power and restraint of Howell Mountain. "First, a powerful bouquet of rose petals, African violets, and lavender greet your nose. Next, wanting to show its true colors you will find balanced fruit attributes of Bing cherries, plums and cranberries on the palate. A mountain wine at heart, graphite and iron are also ever-present. In an effort to show its youthfulness, this medium bodied wine with lively acidity and inviting freshness finishes with energetic yet refined tannins." ---- Only 280 cases were made. ---- 100% Cabernet Sauvignon ---- Aging: 20 months in French Oak ---- Barrel Program: 27% new ---- 14.2% ABV ---- pH 3.82 ---- TA 6.1

"**Two Stars** Deeply fruited, generously oaked and well-focused on varietal spice, the latest HDV bottling gets right to the richness that is inherent in the grape without making any sacrifice to excessive ripeness. It is big but supple and polished in feel, and it shows plentiful extract, yet its sense of refinement remains all the way to the end, its tannins notwithstanding. So neatly crafted, in fact, that it can be enjoyed soon with a juicy rack of lamb, it is a quite ageworthy wine with a future that is at least as attractive as its wholly compelling present. It need not be drunk any time soon." - 92pts Connoisseurs Guide (Tasted 11/2006)
