2017 1er Les Champeaux
1er Cru Les Champeaux -- "Typically one of the broadest-shouldered wines in the cellar, the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Champeaux was lightly reduced on the day that I tasted it, unwinding in the glass to reveal plenty of red-black fruit and savory nuance. On the palate, the wine was easier to read, displaying a medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated profile, with excellent amplitude, juicy acids and a long, delineated finish. It's a definite success." - 91-93+pts WA -- "This too is strongly reduced. The medium weight and lively flavors possess a comparatively refined mouthfeel and plenty of minerality on the firmer if less muscular finish where a touch of wood toast can be found. This too will require at least some patience and reward up to 15 years of it." - 90-93pts/Outstanding BH

2016 1er Cru Lavaux St-Jacques
1er Cru Lavaux St-Jacques -- "An ultra-floral and highly restrained nose offers up aromas of airy and cool essence of red currant, freshly turned earth, humus and forest floor scents. The intense, powerful and muscular broad-shouldered flavors possess fine mid-palate concentration thanks to the abundant level of dry extract that buffers the firm tannic spine on the austere and serious finish. In sum this is a classically styled LSJ." - 91-93/Outstanding
