Jean-Pierre thinks of this vineyard as Côte de Nuits in configuration, reminding him of Chambolle. Succulent long and deep. Plenty of guts here, rather more solid than most Chambolles I would suggest. The middle weight flavors are not quite as concentrated though they're finer and more detailed on the beautifully textured flavors that exude evident minerality on the balanced, saline and sneaky long finish. Aux Allots ---- "Rich dense purple, Aux Allots offers a brilliant nose including fresh plums with the raspberries. There is plenty of energy here, all in red fruit, with excellent acidity. It is easier to see how well this will work, compared to some of the more opaque wines in the cellar. Very long, impressive grip behind, well worth a longer elevage.
