Bourgogne Blanc La Plante des Champs - "Pale primrose with a pretty floral nose with a little bit of barrel toast. The oak is fine rather than heavy and makes for a delicious Bourgogne, which fills the mouth very nicely. Drink from 2024-2026. Tasted: October 2022." - 4/5 stars Jasper Morris

2020 Bougogne Blanc Hautes Coutures
Bougogne Blanc Hautes Coutures ---- "Smoky aromas of poached pear, apple and citrus rind are complemented by the rich, delicious and opulent flavors that also conclude in a bitter lemon rind-inflected finish that delivers better than average depth and persistence in the context of what is typical for the genre." - Outstanding, Burghound

"The Bourgogne has just been fined. Pale colour. Both floral and full of fruit on the nose, giving one an immediate desire to drink it. Just a little bacon fat at the finish, otherwise a clean ripe citrus note and a fresh apple or two. Very nice. Drink from 2024-2027. Tasted Nov 2023." - 4/5 stars, Jasper Morris MW

"The Bourgogne comes from three plots below Vosne. A deeper dark crimson to purple. The fruit has a more solid depth to it on the nose, a darker fruit than the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Just sniffing it absolutely makes me smile. This is the sort of vintage which brings the density which the Anne Gros style needs. Degenerate vines help concentrate the fruit, Paul notes. Drink from 2025-2028. Tasted Nov 2023." - 5/5 stars, Jasper Morris MW

2021 Bourgogne Blanc
"A cooler and more floral-suffused nose speaks mostly of white orchard fruit and more subtle lemon-lime influence. The delicious middleweight flavors also possess impressive mid-palate density while offering well above average depth and persistence. This is also excellent." - Outstanding Top Value, Burghound

"Taking its name from the vineyard's inclination, Lavallée's 2020 Chablis 45° reveals scents of citrus zest, white flowers, Anjou pear and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, chiseled and concentrated, it's elegant and penetrating, with a satiny attack and an electric finish. It's full of promise." - 92pts WA

2019 Savigny-les-Beaune
"A markedly more expressive nose freely offers up plenty of floral nuances on the red and dark cherry, plum and soft spice-inflected aromas. There is perfectly good if not exceptionally density to the middle weight flavors that possess a caressing but punchy palate impression, all wrapped in a lingering and balanced finish. This is sufficiently structured to reward up to a decade of cellar time and this is worth considering." - 91pts/Outstanding Burghound

2020 Pouilly-Fuisse
"The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée, a blend of the various soils from 40 parcels mainly around Fuissé is aged 60% in oak and 40% stainless steel, bottled during spring 2022. The less clayey soils and younger vines are those that are aged in stainless steel. It has a well-defined bouquet with touches of grilled walnut and honeysuckle, hints of white chocolate in the background. The palate is well balanced with a hints of dried honey and slate-like notes. Fine acidity, very well balanced with good substance, there is a lovely touch of spice towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. Try and keep a few of these in the cellar." - 92pts Vinous ---- "A restrained nose is ripe but cool with its fresh aromas of white peach, apple, tangerine and lemon-lime nuances. There is very good richness to the rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that deliver solid length on the saline-inflected, clean and dry finish. This delicious effort will need to develop better depth but historically this cuvée has done just that if given a chance." - 91pts/Outstanding Burghound
