"80 year old vines located in the village of Premeaux-Prissey across the street from Clos de la Maréchale (.6 ha); marl and chalky clay soils. 240 meters elevation. Destemmed. Indigenous yeast fermentation. 3 days cold maceration, 15 day fermentation in cement tanks. Cap is punched down twice a day to start, then pumping over to activate yeast. Matured 1 year in oak barrel, 10-15% new oak, the rest in 1-5 year old barrels. The wine is fined but not filtered."

2023 1er Cru Les Cent Vignes
1er Cru Les Cent Vignes ---- "The Beaune Cent Vignes is really beautiful with the light sandy soil, has a lovely light-footed palate and a perfumed nose...sexy even...a lovely terroir. It’s vivid, delicate, and lively. It really nails the phenolics, giving a very energetic midpalate. - Winehog

"The negociant Vosne Village in the 2023 vintage somehow has some strong historic links back to Jayer estate...and despite no new oak, it has some of the Jayer feel (or is it just me?). This cuvee is a blend - Chalandins 50% - a delicate and quite intense Vosne Village ... please note not from the Jayer vineyards ... but is sort of has the vivid intensity of a Jayer village ....Without new oak .. A Delicate classic Vosne .. and it just has this special feel." - Winehog

"15% is vinified in new wood, then matured as the other 1ers crus. A little more yellow in the colour, and a slight touch of coconut on the nose. The wood can be detected on the palate too but it will certainly integrate. There is a fine full bodied classical Chablis lurking behind. A notably long succulent finish, then some classical minerality. Certainly, a fine acid balance. They make sure to pick here very early thus avoiding the over exotic character seen in some cellars. The 2022 is set to be a great success." - 5/5 stars & 92-95pts, Jasper Morris MW

"Deep ruby color. A very ripe yet wonderfully fresh and expressive nose features notes of cassis, plum, black cherry and a broad array of spice nuances. There is a highly seductive mouth feel to the velvet-textured, powerful and robust big-bodied flavors that display plenty of minerality and drive on the exceptionally persistent finish. It's relatively rare that Ponsot's Chapelle surpasses his Griotte but in 2012 it appears to have just a bit more depth of material. We will of course see in time but this certainly appears very promising." - 92-95pts/Don't Miss! Burghound
