The fruit is balanced and at the perfect pitch of ripeness. Much more powerful on the palate with some black cherry notes as well as a little red fruit, mix of tannins and acidity, neither too prominent. More appealing are the gorgeously textured and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract that also buffers the moderately tightly wound finish where a touch of austerity slowly emerges. The palate has a creamy opening: vanilla, chestnut and touches of white chocolate, but discrete segueing into a delightful, spicy finish.
