Meursault 1er In Memoriam - Four 1er Crus put together for this wine in 2021: Cras, Goutes d'Or, Bouchères, Charmes. Aged in barrels for 12 months before being racked into stainless steel tanks for 6 months ---- "There is a whiff of the phenolic to the aromas of hazelnut, acacia blossom, citrus confit and white peach, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to merit mentioning. The medium weight plus flavors possess outstanding mid-palate density while displaying excellent power on the sappy, balanced and strikingly long finale. This could use better depth but more should almost certainly develop. This is terrific." - 92-95/Outstanding, BH

From Les Pellans, just below Charmes 1er Cru and adjacent to Puligny-Montrachet. Vines planted in 1945. This has been a separate bottling from the VV cuvée since the 2015 vintage. Gentle pressing. Aged 18 months in neutral barrels. ---- "This is at once slightly fresher and a bit more elegant as well with its floral and citrus-suffused nose that display background nuances of browned butter. There is excellent density and better precision to the middle weight flavors that culminate in a youthfully austere and lemony finish that is balanced, long and more complex. 2020  Pouilly-Fuisse

"The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cuvée, a blend of the various soils from 40 parcels mainly around Fuissé is aged 60% in oak and 40% stainless steel, bottled during spring 2022. The less clayey soils and younger vines are those that are aged in stainless steel. It has a well-defined bouquet with touches of grilled walnut and honeysuckle, hints of white chocolate in the background. The palate is well balanced with a hints of dried honey and slate-like notes. Fine acidity, very well balanced with good substance, there is a lovely touch of spice towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. Try and keep a few of these in the cellar." - 92pts Vinous ---- "A restrained nose is ripe but cool with its fresh aromas of white peach, apple, tangerine and lemon-lime nuances. There is very good richness to the rich and generous medium-bodied flavors that deliver solid length on the saline-inflected, clean and dry finish.
