Sechet V.V. comes from a .60 ha holding of 90+ year old vines ---- "This is also aromatically cool and restrained with its overtly citrus-suffused aromas of ripe white orchard fruit, iodine and ocean breeze. There is borderline painful intensity to the dense, sappy and markedly stony flavors that conclude in a strikingly long, moderately dry and well-balanced finale. "Lovely density and richness, with a nose showing ripe apricots, a hint of lemon peel and just a bit of butter. The texture is creamy and dense but not lacking in tension. Regal, substantial, but always elegant. This is made with the white grapes from the Senard monopole of the Clos des Meix, now biodynamically farmed. It is a blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Beurrot (Pinot Gris). The wine is rather quickly pressed and vinified without sulphur until the malolactic fermentation is complete. Ageing is in 350-litre casks (half new)." - 96pts, Charles Curtis MW

A ripe, mature and penetrating nose of citrus, floral notes and white peach introduces rather rich, round and voluminous flavors that possess a moderate effervescence along with excellent complexity while terminating in a mouth coating finish. Monumental and vigorous, mouth-filling and near-perfect - its seamless, lingering finish makes this great Grand Cru a show-stopper. 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir fermented in used barrels.
