2013
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box emerges from a parcel of 50 year-old vines in the heart of eastern Oakville. An exotic mélange of graphite, smoke, licorice, mint and crushed rocks add nuance to a core of unctuous, inky dark red and bluish fruits. A total pleasure bomb delivers superb intensity along with explosive energy, both of which make it impossible to resist. Once again, the Tin Box is one of the highlights in this range." - 97pts Vinous

2009 Rutherford Cabernet
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard is bigger, richer and deeper than the 2008 tasted alongside it. In this vintage (and 2010) the picks were smaller, and therefore many of the fermentations were done in smaller French oak barrels, which has given the wine much of its shape. Ripe dark cherries, menthol and spices wrap around the finish. The tannins are a bit firm, but the wine was also bottled just one month before I tasted it." - 94pts Antonio Galloni WA (Tasted 12/2011)

2019
100 Points: "Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot, the 2019 Dominus was harvested from September 29 to October 10. It was aged in 40% new oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose slowly unfurls to unveil beguiling floral notes of candied violets and rose oil over a core of crème de cassis, blackberry pie, and plum preserves, giving way to notions of licorice, Indian spices, iron ore, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with taut, muscular black fruit layers, intertwined with gorgeous floral and exotic spice accents, and framed by firm, finely grained tannins with seamless freshness, finishing long and mineral-laced. Tightly coiled with so much latent energy waiting to explode, this is a spectacular expression of the vintage and Napanook vineyard. Still tightly coiled, give it a good 6-7 years in the cellar before broaching, and allow it a few hours in a decanter if consumed before 2032. 3500 cases were made, to be released in May 2022. Drink date 2025-2043." - Lisa Perrotti Brown, The Wine Independent (March 2022) ---- 98 Points: "Lots of crushed stone, lead pencil and licorice aromas that are extremely aromatic and bright. Black cherries, cloves and purple fruit, too. Full body and a round and ripe center-palate with a juicy interior. It opens at the end with a savory and juicy finish. Layered and beautiful. Drinkable now, but better in three or four years." - James Suckling (April 2022)

2019 Napa
"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a big wine, but it is also surprisingly approachable for a young Kongsgaard Cabernet. Bright and vibrant, the 2019 offers up copious dark red/purplish fruit, mocha, wild flowers and pomegranate, with a firm spine of tannin that gives the wine its energy and shape. The 2019 will be positively stellar with a bit of time in the cellar. Actually, it already is." - 95pts Antonio Galloni (Tasted 9/2021)

2019 Diamond Mountain
2019 The Vineyardist Lazy Susan Ranch Cabernet Napa/Diamond Mtn. - "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch is a full-bodied, opulent, incredibly sexy Diamond Mountain red offering up some classic mountain minerality as well as notes of ripe darker cherry and currant fruits, some spicy, vanilla oak, ripe, supple tannins, and a great finish. It’s a gorgeous wine that should easily evolve for two decades." - 95pts Jeb Dunnuck

"First made in 2009 (the first vintage of Maybach was in 2004), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus offers an incredible, full-bodied, pure, seamless style, and I suspect this is the finest vintage of this cuvée ever made. Gorgeous red and black fruits, toasted spice, brioche, violets, and flowers are just some of the nuances here, and it's one of those wines that brings massive richness and depth while staying pure, seamless, and as graceful as they come. Don't miss it!" - 99pts JD

Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard -- "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard flows with the essence of mint, licorice, black cherries and flowers. It is a deep, muscular wine endowed with terrific richness and depth. Crushed rocks, graphite, minerals, smoke and tar are some of the many nuances that emerge on the dark, voluptuous finish. This seamless, pure wine is simply dazzling. The 2009 is the first Las Piedras from Paul Hobbs. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029." - 96pts WA

2008 Stagecoach Vineyard
Stagecoach Vineyard -- "Inky purple. Potent, liqueur-like aromas of cherry-vanilla and cassis, with an array of floral and spice notes adding complexity. Pliant and silky in the mouth, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors and a touch of candied rose; manages to be both ripe and vivacious, thanks to strong peppery spices and minerality. Tannins make a late arrival and add structure and depth to the seductively sweet fruit, which doesn't let up on the finish." - 93pts Vinous
2019 Columbia Valley
"Flirting with perfection, instantly impressive and marked with impeccable shine and polish, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon from Champoux vineyard (90%) and Mach One vineyard (10%). The Cabernet explodes out of a glass with exuberance and power, prancing with layers of juicy black fruit, plum compote, black raspberry jus and hints of cinnamon-spiced black cherries. Full-bodied and with a ripe attack, velvety tannins sway with a glossy mouthfeel that is seductive and hedonistic, and the wine displays a balanced structure with a generous frame. It somersaults to an ever-evolving finish that bursts with layers of complexity, finesse and richness. What a stunning bottle! Bravo! Two thumbs up! Only 4,125 cases were made for the world." - 99pts WA ""Quilceda Creek's Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is once again a spectacular release of this legendary Washington wine. Sourced from Champoux and Mach One vineyards, this begins to impress with its extremely attractive aromas of ripe dark cherries, currants and plums, which are accompanied by lovely nuances of violets, baking spices, savory herbs, gravel, and damp earth characteristics all taking shape. The palate is every bit as stunning, boasting a gorgeous full-body that is structured with beautifully polished, fine-grained tannins that are nicely integrated. Displaying wonderful overall balance and concentration along with remarkable purity and craftsmanship, the 2019 has it all. This is one of the finest vintages of the Columbia Valley Cabernet that I have had the chance to taste. Even at this infant stage this is an absolute knockout and it is certainly destined for a brilliant evolution ahead." - 100pts J.D'Angelo, International Wine Report, March, 2022
