2010 Beaune 1er Rouge
91pts/Outstanding Burghound - "Moderate reduction fights somewhat with the floral and apple aromas that complement the juicy but detailed, intense and driving middle weight flavors that possess good mid-palate concentration. There is a lovely sense of harmony and balance to the long and mouth coating finish. Despite the reduction that suppresses the nose, this is excellent."

2017 Les Epenots
Les Epenots -- "Once again there are ample wood and menthol notes surrounding the more elegant nose of ripe red berries, spice and warm earth nuances. The caressing and delicious flavors are not as dense but they're definitely more refined and I particularly like the texture of the impressively persistent finish. This needs to add depth but it seems like a relatively sure bet that it will. Lovely." - 91-93pts/Sweet Spot Burghound

2013 Clos des Cortons
Clos des Cortons ---- "A generous dollop of moderately toasty oak mixes with the highly layered nose of black cherry, cassis, warm earth and an impressive array of sauvage and underbrush notes. There is excellent richness to the overtly powerful and muscular flavors that possess an imposing sense of scale that continues onto the textured and mouth coating finish. Like several of the wines in the range in 2013 this is a big but not really massive wine that retains a sense of proportion even though the underlying structure is quite firm. This will need plenty of patience however." - 93-95pts/Don't Miss, Burghound

2017 Les Aigrots Rouge
Les Aigrots Rouge -- "A more elegant, pure and airy nose features the cool essence of red cherry together with hints of wood, spice and violet. The highly energetic and intensely mineral-inflected flavors possess outstanding delineation before concluding in a chiseled, firm and youthfully austere finale. A wine of finesse but with punch." - 90-92pts BH

"A slightly riper and definitely spicier nose offers up notes of essence of plum, violet and freshly turned earth. The rich, full-bodied and solidly powerful imposingly-scaled flavors once again brim with dry extract as the old vines are very much in evidence, all wrapped in a strikingly persistent finish. This is a relatively rare Corton that is clearly built for the long-term yet the richness and sap are such that this should also be approachable after only 5-ish years or so." - 92-94pts BH

2015
"Subtle but not invisible oak easily allows the liqueur-like black cherry, spice, lavender and a whisper of dried mandarin orange peel to be appreciated. There is excellent density to the sleekly muscular and mineral-driven flavors that possess an even finer mouth feel while delivering notably better depth and length on the powerful and built-to-age finale. This is absolutely going to require extended patience but it should very much be worth the wait." - 92-94pts/Sweet Spot Outstanding, Burghound

2010
"Relatively strong reduction dominates the nose at present and prevents a thorough assessment. By contrast, there is good freshness and ample verve to the exceptionally rich, powerful and borderline massive flavors that enjoy support in the form of a very concentrated mid-palate and a notably firm tannic spine that imparts a chewy texture to the hugely long, mouth coating and tannic finish. This is breathtakingly good though like any self-respecting Clos du Roi, to note that it will need plenty of bottle age is largely superfluous.' - 92-95pts BH
