There is more volume to the gorgeously textured medium weight flavors that possess fine density while exhibiting notably better depth and persistence on the clean, dry and balanced finale. "Moderate reduction overshadows the fruit today. More interesting are the super-sleek, vibrant and bright middle weight flavors that possess both good power and minerality where the latter adds a sense of lift to the bitter zest-inflected finale that displays outstanding length for a villages-level wine. "Here too there is a whiff of wood treatment in evidence on the nose of white peach, citrus confit and Granny Smith apple and mineral reduction. The medium weight flavors are not quite as concentrated but they're finer still with both a lovely texture and excellent punch that carries over to the clean, bone-dry and balanced finale that is akin to sucking on a small pebble. I would add that this youthfully austere effort is markedly compact and a wine that's going to need at least moderate patience. This too is excellent." - Outstanding, Burghound

"An overtly floral-suffused nose is comprised by notes of lavender, violet and rose petal that add elegance to the essence of wild red currant aromas. The super-sleek medium weight flavors are finer still with more evident minerality as well that adds to the overall appeal of the compact, youthfully austere and serious finale. "A fresh, cool and bright nose reflects notes of various white orchard fruit aromas laced with notes of zest and petrol. The attractively textured middle weight flavors retain good delineation that carries over to the long, balanced and nicely complex finale. "This is aromatically similar to the Bourgogne Côte d'Or with the addition of pretty floral nuances. The slightly finer, if not quite as concentrated, flavors also possess an appealing mouthfeel before terminating in a slightly drier finish that offers equally good depth and persistence. "This is aromatically cooler still with its equally smoky array of apple, pear, exotic tea and floral. The succulent but more intense medium-bodied flavors flash a subtle minerality on the youthfully austere finale that also exhibits a touch of austerity on the complex and bone-dry finale. "An overtly floral-suffused and markedly smoky nose displays nuances of acacia, lilac and rose petal along with touch of pear, citrus and discreet wood influence. Here too the medium-bodied flavors possess a gorgeous mouthfeel that is at once generous but punchy while retaining the innate class of a fine Charmes on the youthfully austere, balanced and citrusy finish that flashes excellent persistence. "A discreet but perceptible dollop of wood sets off an equally pretty and even spicier mélange of ripe red berries trimmed in subtle floral nuances, in particular violet. The delicious and wonderfully refined middleweight flavors are quite graceful thanks to the fine-grained tannins supporting the impressively long finale that fans out as it sits on the palate. If this can add depth with time in bottle, my rating may prove to be too conservative." - Outstanding, Burghound
