2016 Frizante
Frizante - Called the "Château Lafite of Languedoc" by the French magazine Gault et Millau, Mas de Daumas Gassac is the region's benchmark estate. Their flagship sparkling rosé is made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Manseng. Bled Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the younger Daumas Gassac vineyards. The "free-run" grape juice is fermented in a closed tank so as to retain all the fermenting gas. Aged 3 to 4 months in closed stainless steel tank.

2013 Crémant d'Alsace Rosé Poussière d'Étoiles
Crémant d'Alsace Rosé Poussière d'Étoiles -- Vignobles des 2 Lunes is a fourteen hectare Demeter-certified estate in the heart of the Alsatian wine country. Owned and operated by the Buecher family for seven generations, sisters Amelie and Cecile Buecher have brought their own unique vision to the domaine; walking a fine line between a drive for modernization and respect for antiquity. Amelie and Cecile have moved to protect the environment of their vines. In 1997 they stopped spraying with pesticides and achieved biodynamic certification in 2007. All vineyard work is done by hand and grapes are brought to the winery in small ¼ ton bins where they undergo a gentle overnight pressing, feed by gravity directly into concrete fermentation tanks below the crush pad. In cellar, the vision of the domaine is to preserve the work that has been done in the vineyard; native yeasts for all fermentations with no additions or manipulations of any kind, only a small amount of sulfur is added at bottling. Alcohol Content 13% Residual Sugar 0.70 g/L Acidity 3.70 g/L

NV
100% Pinot Noir. Hand harvested per appellation requirements from the villages of Les Riceys, Channes and Buxeuil. Fermented and stored in enameled steel tanks. Three years aging sur latte. ---- Our favorite recent bubbly find, this is a remarkable 100% Pinot Noir wine that drinks with a beautiful citric brightness, making it a particularly excellent aperitif bottle. "Pale straw color with a copper hue and young vivid mousseux. The nose displays ripe pear, peach and some red berry notes with a hint of fresh butter. Bone dry palate, a crisp acidity underneath, rather mellow creaminess, ripe fruit with an emphasis on darker Pinot flavors with a good grip and a long lingering finish." - 91 points, Andreas Larsson

2018
"The 2018 Tradition Sparkling Rosé is a new cuvée from Cruse Wine Co. Made using the traditional method, it is composed of 68% Pinot Noir and 32% Chardonnay from several vineyards including Rorick Heritage in Sierra Foothills, Alder Springs in Mendocino, Keefer Ranch in Sonoma and Linda Vista in Napa. "Vins clairs don't often taste great," notes winemaker Michael Cruse. "But the 2018 rosé tasted incredible from barrel." Cruse Wine Co.'s sparklings are technically non-vintage—you won't find the vintage listed on the label—but this first iteration is composed entirely of fruit from the 2018 vintage. Grapes were fermented in barrel and disgorged with six grams per liter dosage after two years on the lees. About 7% red wine was added to the blend to produce its medium cherry-pink color, and it has 5.5 bars of pressure. The nose offers a layered, singular perfume of warm peaches and strawberries, biscuit, spring butter and toast, expertly balancing ripe California fruit and savory autolytic character. Medium-bodied and dry, the palate is intense and savory, with biscuit-laced flavors and bright bursts of pure raspberry character. It has a fine, creamy texture, a long finish and loads of personality! 565 cases were made." - 96pts WA

Extra Brut Grand Cru ---- 70% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger and 30% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, including 3% still Pinot Noir which gives the wine its delicate salmon hue. ---- "A fine, lacy mousse enfolds the chalky underpinning and firm acidity of this harmonious rosé in a creamy swathe of texture, carrying a finely detailed range of ripe white cherry and strawberry fruit, toast point and chopped almond flavors. Hints of pink grapefruit zest and pickled ginger show on the crisp finish. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir." - 92 points, Wine Spectator

NV Rosé de Saignée Meunier Extra Brut
Rosé de Saignée Meunier Extra Brut ---- 100 % Pinot Meunier. Terroir de Chavot. Plots planted in 1953, 1958, and 1965. Clay and silty soils, not very deep, with a little of flints and little stones. Chalky subsoils. ---- "The NV (2018) Extra Brut Rosé de Saignee Les Beaudiers is 100% Meunier from vines planted in 1953, 1958 and 1963. It is also one of the most complex and distinctive Rosés readers will come across. Gorgeous floral and savory nuances weave through a delicate, understated core of Meunier fruit. The Beaudiers is a contemplative wine to savor over a leisurely meal. I loved it. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: November, 2021." 93 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

2022
Brut Nature ---- "The brand new release of Vincent Laval’s Cumières non-vintage bottling is from the 2022 vintage. It has been released here in the US one year earlier than customary, as Vincent simply did not produce this cuvée in the challenging year of 2021. So the 2022 Base Year version has arrived here in the states with twelve months less aging sur lattes than is customary, though there will be a second tranche of the same wine released next fall with its usual time aging on the fine lees prior to disgorgement. The newly arrived release was disgorged on the last day of August of 2024. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a mix of nectarine, passion fruit, brioche, chalky soil tones and a gently musky floral topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still quite brisk structurally, with a lovely core of fruit, good soil undertow, elegant mousse and a long, nascently complex, well balanced and zesty finish." - 93 Points, John Gilman
