2021 Les Gravieres Numerus Clausus
Les Gravieres Numerus Clausus
$85.00 Stock6
2019 Puligny-Montrachet
"From vines planted in 1955. Pale lemon and lime in colour. A more chiselled nose and a tighter structure on the palate. A less opulent texture is no bad thing in 2019. All in white fruit, with slightly more length than the Champs Gains. An attractive, tensile, finish. Tasted Feb 2021." - 91pts, Jasper Morris MW

2019 Clos de la Perriere Monopole
Clos de la Perriere Monopole ---- "Joliet has divided the vineyard into sections which he farms and ferments separately before blending just before bottling. The ferments are done with 100% whole clusters on native yeasts and see two years in cask without racking prior to blending. The finished wine is lovely, with aromas of blackberry and plum, then a hint of wild herbs and menthol. On the palate there is impressive density and a silky but powerful texture, just built for ageing. Drinking Window 2026 - 2049." - 96pts Decanter

2022
(Last year of the 100+ year old plot on its own - young vines will be incorporated next year.)"A perfumed and broad-ranging nose features notes of plum, dark cherry, exotic tea and a whiff of crushed fennel. The succulent, even suave, but impressively punchy larger-bodied flavors display first-rate power and drive on the stony, balanced and very clearly built-to-age finale. This is always one of my favorite wines chez Lafarge as it often seems underappreciated relative to the Volnay 1ers that routinely receive top billing. If you have the patience, this is potentially sensational.' - Sweet Spot Outstanding, Burghound
