2015
"Gouges noted that in 2015 the blend for this wine contains 40% from the 1er Chênes Carteaux so that there could be sufficient volume for their various markets. A background application of wood frames a similar if more complex and elegant array of ripe aromas. The sleek, round and delicious medium-bodied flavors possess lovely definition before terminating in a saline-inflected finish that is notably finer than it usually is. This offers simply terrific quality for its level and is highly recommended." - 89-92pts/Outstanding Top Value

2015 Gevrey-Chambertin
"Initially there was some reduction in evidence though aggressive swirling eventually reveals liqueur-like aromas of dark currant, earthy, violet and soft spice nuances. The notably rich yet delineated medium weight flavors also possess a refined mouthfeel while delivering fine length on the mineral-inflected finale. Lovely stuff and this is a wine of power and refinement." - 92pts/Outstanding, Burghound

2015 Vosne-Romanee
Vosne-Romanee -- "Reduction and wood toast dominate the nose at present. By contrast there is excellent richness to the full-bodied and suave medium-bodied flavors that tighten up quickly on the balanced, complex and impressively persistent finish. This appears to be the best wine in 2015 range among the Mongeard villages cuvées." - 89-91/Oustanding Burghound

2016
"They 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs was reduced by 30% production, with 30% whole bunch and 30% new oak. It has a well-defined blackberry and wild strawberry bouquet with subtle rose petal aromas. The palate is well balanced with supple red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, just a subtle chalkiness to the texture toward the finish, but a very mineral-rich aftertaste in situ. This is a replica of the brilliant 2015." 92-94 Wine Advocate

2016 Nuits-St-Georges
Nuits-St-Georges ---- "A more deeply pitched nose features notes of plum and earth along with whiffs of wood and the sauvage. There is fine density and intensity to the lightly stony medium weight flavors that conclude in a saline and moderately rustic finale." - BH
