Bandol borders the Mediterranean Sea and Tour du Bon is tucked a half a mile away on the flank of one of the hills rising up from the village of Bandol. Organic farming, native yeast, unfiltered, unfined, low SO2, Tour du Bon’s flagship wine, what Agnes calls "The Blood Of The earth," the 2010 vintage is an especially powerful expression of Bandol that is packed with classic spice and meaty flavors. Although it’s drinking well right now it will undoubtedly reward those who chose to age it. Aged for 24 months in large foudres. "Brooding and intense, with notes of raw meat, singed alder and dried bay leaf out front, followed by steeped black currant and plum fruit. Accents of iron, mesquite and wine-soaked rosemary line the finish. Still has some serious grip to shed" - Wine Spectator 92
