about_us Since 2002, Mission Fine Wines has specialized in sourcing fine and rare wines for discriminating clients. Our priority is to offer mature wines from Bordeaux & Burgundy, though we have a special interest in the wines of Austria and Spain as well. Our experience is based in real passion for wine, decades of collecting & drinking and professional training through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, The Court of Master Sommeliers and The Society of Wine Educators. Our collective wine travels have brought us to countless cellars in the world's principle winegrowing regions including South America, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italy, the Loire Valley, Austria, California, the North Fork of Long Island and New York's Finger Lakes.

The Mission Fine Wines staff stays abreast of developments and issues in the fine & rare wine world, including the premature oxidation of white Burgundy, the high risk of fraud and the importance of securing the authenticity of very rare, expensive bottles. The dynamic Asian market continues to impact the fine & rare wine world and emerging markets such as Brazil, will impact it further..

We price our wines to sell and we make every attempt to guarantee the provenance of every bottle we sell. We are dedicated to building wine-buying relationships with our customers that are based on dialogue, trust and superior personal service. We taste regularly to evaluate the evolution of vintages and advise our clients of drinking windows and potential for development.

Although our focus is on offering mature wines, we know that the current market is where many new collectors will be starting their cellars, and that even the highest-quality, long-established cellar must be fed in order to grow! We scour new releases from key producers and regions in every vintage and report back our finds for good drinking and holding.
