HOURS OF OPERATION: MFW is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm EST. Although we do not have a conventional walk-in wine store, we do welcome customers by appointment. Our sales office is connected to our warehouse and is located at:1610 Richmond Terrace,Staten Island, New York, 10310. Please call in advance if you would like to make an appointment!
FOREIGN-ISSUED CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. ALL OVERSEAS ORDERS MUST BE PAID BY WIRE TRANSFER ONLY.
EMAIL INQUIRIES: We make every effort to respond to email inquiries during weekend and holiday hours when the store is closed. Our ecommerce system is live 24/7.
BOTTLE CONDITIONS: All wines are sold “as is.” Mission Fine Wines will provide as detailed an assessment of bottle conditions as possible. Where detailed conditions are not explicitly offered on the website, photographs of bottle labels, capsules, corks and ullage are available upon request.
RETURNS: If, when wine is received, you are not satisfied with the conditions of an unopened bottle or bottles, MFW must be notified within 3 days of receipt if an exchange or refund is to be arranged. We will not negotiate complaints or disagreements about bottle conditions beyond the 3-day timeframe and if a purchase is to be returned, it must be returned unopened. MFW will not accept returns of opened bottles.
CORKED BOTTLES: Mission Fine wines will not refund purchases of corked bottles. The incidence of TCA-infection is unrelated to storage conditions or provenance and is not our responsibility.
PREMATURELY-OXIDIZED WHITE BURGUNDY: The issue of premature oxidation (and read here too) for many White Burgundy producers is well-established and well-known to collectors and enthusiasts. Where possible, MFW culls from saleable inventory those bottles that have obvious signs of oxidation. In our experience, premature oxidation problems are not always apparent. Therefore, purchases of White Burgundies from the 1990-2005 vintages are strictly at the buyer's risk. No refunds or replacements will be made for faulty bottles. We are happy to provide photographs of bottles and detailed information regarding bottles of interest. We encourage you to do your own research as to which producers have been found to have higher incidence of faulty bottles.
PAYMENT PROCESSING: The vast majority of our inventory is comprised of “fine and rare” wines. In many cases MFW will only have one or two bottles of any given wine in stock. Therefore, payments are not processed in “real-time.” Before payment is processed, we will determine availability and ensure that any bottle conditions are resolved.
ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT: American Express, Visa, Mastercard & Discover, Check and Wire Transfer.
